I'm really glad you're here, so let me tell you a little about me.
I'm a girl's girl through and through. The kind of person who feels things deeply and loves people hard. I love my family, cozy nights curled up under a heated blanket with a comfort show on, and an Alani always within reach. (If I'm photographing your wedding, you'll probably spot two in my bag—just saying.) I also love plants, even though I somehow manage to keep most of them hanging on by a thread.
My love for photography runs deeper than just pretty pictures.
When I lost my mom in 2022, I quickly realized just how much photos matter. As we searched for images to include in her obituary and slideshow, I noticed how few photos there were of her because she was always the one behind the camera. There were plenty of us, but not nearly enough of the woman who captured it all.
Sweet as Honey Photography is named after her. My little boy called her Honey, so in many ways, this business is a small piece of her legacy and a daily reminder of why I do what I do.
Because one day, these photos become priceless.
My favorite part of any session is the moment I turn my camera around and show you the back of it. The real laughs. The genuine reactions. The "Wait... that's me?" moments. I love having fun, and nine times out of ten, I leave a session with a new friend. I'm endlessly grateful for the community this work has brought into my life and the relationships that continue long after the photos are delivered.
My mom always reminded me that when something good comes from our hands, Jesus gets the glory and all the credit. He is at the center of everything I do. My faith shapes how I love people, how I serve others, and how I show up for every client who trusts me with their memories.
Serving people is deeply rooted in who I am, and I truly believe that's what makes me so committed to my clients. I pray over my clients, my creativity, and this business. It's a responsibility I don't take lightly and a privilege I'm endlessly grateful for.
I'm so honored you're here, and I can't wait to tell your story!
Every photographer brings something unique,
here's what I bring to you.

For me, it all starts with people.
Serving others is at the heart of everything I do, and it's one of the things I love most about this job. I don't show up just to take photos—I show up to celebrate with you, support you, make you feel comfortable, and serve you well from the moment you inquire to the moment your gallery lands in your inbox.
Photographing people through so many different seasons of life—from wedding days to growing families, milestones, and everyday moments, has taught me that every story is unique. Every family, every couple, and every season brings something different, and that's one of my favorite parts of this work.
I'm constantly learning, growing, and finding new ways to better serve the people who trust me with their memories. It keeps me grounded, grateful, and fully present for each moment I'm invited to document.
